Ryan Moyer |
Firefighter Moyer was a volunteer member of the Waldo Fire Department. He had five years of service.
Waldo is a village in Sheboygan County with a population of just over 500. It is part of the Sheboygan Metropolitan Statistical Area.
In the afternoon, Ryan was driving two other volunteer firefighters in his own vehicle, putting up posters and collecting donations for a fire department fundraiser. Ryan's vehicle crashed for unknown reasons. The accident is being investigated.
Tragically, Ryan succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The two other firefighters did not suffer life threatening injuries.

Ryan was a State Certified firefighter who attended many training opportunities including National Fire Academy classes. In 2014, Ryan won the Firefighter of the Year award at the Waldo Fire Department.
Friends describe Ryan as a man with a kind spirit who did a lot for the community.

The members of the Waldo Fire Department are in mourning over the death of their young brother. Ryan was known for his hard work and for his energy put toward fundraising, remodeling the fire station and generally being helpful in any way he could. Ryan will be forever remembered.
Ryan's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. Ryan was loving and was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Ryan is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his parents, his brother, his wife and his young son.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
Pray that Ryan is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
