Javier Flores - a victim in Houston, Texas

Javier Flores
Javier Flores, age 18, died on February 22, 2017, at a hospital in Houston, Texas.

Javier and his mother were both working at a sandwich shop in southeast Houston.

It was around 8:00 p.m. when two thieves rushed in and pointed a gun at the woman. Javier attempted to push his mother out of the way. He was shot.

Javier was rushed to a local hospital where, tragically, he was pronounced deceased.

It is believed that the thieves fled with no money from the attempted robbery.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 18 to 20 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, dark in complexion and wearing a dark blue hoodie with black pants. The second suspect is described as a black male about 17 years old, wearing a light blue hoodie and dark pants as well.  They fled the scene in a 4-door, gold colored sedan.

Anyone with information that may lead to an arrest or charges should call Houston
Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
Angels of God, pray for Javier
and for those who have lost him.

A funding site has been set up to help the family with expenses.

Javier was a junior at Cesar Chavez High School.

To the thieves who killed Javier, we ask this question: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Javier's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a good kid who was just starting out in life. He tried to do the right thing. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Javier is survived by many loving friends and family members including his parents.

Pray for justice for Javier.

Pray for all who go to work and who die because of it.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Javier is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
