Officer Bashioum was a member of the Canonsburg Borough Police Department. He had seven years of service.
Canonsburg is a town of under 9,000, located about 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.
Around 3:00 a.m., Scott and his partner responded to a domestic disturbance call at a dwelling in Canonsburg. As they approached the building, they were both wounded by gunfire.
The male suspect, Michael Cwiklinski, age 47, also murdered his wife, Dalia Sabae, age 28, then committed suicide. She may have been pregnant. Michael Cwiklinski had a history of domestic abuse and domestic violence.
Scott and his partner were both rushed to medical facilities where, tragically, Scott succumbed to his injuries.

Friends and comrades describe Scott as a man who was born to help others. He was an upbeat police officer and a loving family man.
The Canonsburg Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. He was one of the good guys. He will be forever remembered.
Scott's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was loving and was loved in return. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
