Justin White - Sheriff's Deputy Fatality - Georgia

Deputy Sheriff Justin White, age 28, died on November 15, 2016, at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Deputy Sheriff White was a member of the Newton County Sheriff's Office, based in Covington, Georgia. He had four years of service. He began working in 2012 for the Detention Center and transferred to the Patrol Division in March of 2015.

Covington is 35 miles southeast of Atlanta.

On October 30, 2016, sometime after 2:30 a.m., Justin was responding to a medical emergency call. He was on a local highway when his patrol car left the road and overturned. Emergency responders had to extricate him from his vehicle.

Justin was rushed to a hospital in Atlanta where, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries two weeks later.

A funding site has been set up to help the family with expenses.

Friends stated that Justin was a great guy with a winning smile and a real sense of humor. 

The members of the Newton County Sheriff's Office are in mourning over the death of their young brother. He was a great asset to his comrades. He will be forever remembered.

Justin's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Justin is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his partner, Morgan and their daughter, Charlee.
