Allen Brandt |
Sergeant Brandt was a member of the Fairbanks Police Department. He had 11 years of service.
After midnight on October 16, 2016, Allen had responded to reports of shots fired at a residential location in Fairbanks. As he approached the scene and attempted to stop an approaching male, the suspect opened fire. Allen was struck numerous times in the legs and once in the chest which was deflected by his protective vest. The suspect then kicked Allen in the head and stole his patrol car and service revolver.
The suspect, Anthony Jenkins-Alexie, aged 29, fled the scene but was arrested two days later. He has a lengthy criminal record.

Allen had graduated from high school in Sturgis, Michigan. He joined the Fairbanks Police Department in 2005.
The Fairbanks Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. He was a well-liked and well-respected officer. He will be forever remembered.
Allen's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Allen is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife and four children.
Pray for justice for Allen.
