Officer Christian was a member of the Chesapeake Police Department in Ohio. He had 1 year of service. There are only two officers in the Department. He had previously served with the Coal Grove Police Department.
Chesapeake is a village in Lawrence County, Ohio, with a population of under 750. It is across the Ohio River from Huntington, West Virginia.
A month earlier, on September 18, 2016, Aaron was on duty overnight. At about 2:30 a.m., his patrol car veered off the highway and overturned into a creek. Aaron was thrown from the vehicle.
Aaron was rushed to a hospital in West Virginia where he remained for one month before tragically succumbing to his injuries.
Friends stated that Aaron had wanted to be a police officer since he was a kid. He was a hard worker and a reliable officer. He was a likeable man who made friends easily. He will be forever missed.
Aaron's loved ones are devastated over his tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.
Aaron is survived by many loving friends and family members including his mother and father, his siblings and his young daughter.
