Firefighter Warren was a part time firefighter with the Alexis Volunteer Fire Department, the East Lincoln Fire Department and the Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department.
He was working for the Alexis Fire Department on June 16th.
During the morning Joshua had attended a medical call and had returned to the station. Around 11:00 a.m. he went for a jog at a local middle school's track in Iron Station.
While running he fell ill and collapsed. Joshua was rushed to a nearby hospital where, tragically, he died.
Joshua was an active member of a local Baptist Church.
The Alexis, East Lincoln and Lucia-Riverbend Fire Departments are in mourning over the death of their brother. Joshua was an outstanding young man who was an asset to his comrades. He was dedicated to firefighting. He will be forever remembered.
