Troy Brienzo - a Good Samaritan in Parker, Colorado

Just after midnight on March 29, 2016, Troy Brienzo, age 21, was driving in Parker, Colorado, on a route that he doesn't normally take.

Parker is a city with a population of over 48,000 and is about 25 miles southeast of Denver.

Troy and his fiancée noticed that a house was on fire. It looked as if the fire was centered in the garage, and it looked serious.

Troy's fiancée called 911. Troy rushed to the front door shouting to awaken people in the vicinity. He banged on the door and then was able to enter the unlocked house.

He was hit in the face with billows of smoke.

A female resident of the house had awoken and was coming down the stairs in a shocked daze.

Due to Troy's help, all three residents of the house plus their family's pet cats, were able to escape unharmed. The house was severely damaged.

Troy returned to the scene of the fire the next day and was hugged by the woman he had helped to save. She was extremely grateful for Troy's intervention.

The Good Samaritan comes to the
aid of strangers who are in danger.
Troy had just returned home after a tour of duty with the U.S. Army.

Troy said that he just happened to be in the right place at the right time and that he did what anyone would do when they see that lives are in jeopardy.

God bless Troy and his fiancée. They are Good Samaritans.

God bless all who come to the aid of strangers in distress. Amen.
