Mitesh Patel - a victim of thieves in San Bernardino, California

Mitesh Patel
Mitesh Patel died on January 29, 2016, at a convenience store in San Bernardino, California.

Mitesh was in his early 30's.

Mitesh was the co-owner of a convenience store in San Bernardino. He and his brother were working the night shift. Sometime before 10:00 p.m., two masked men, armed with guns, stormed into the store and demanded money.

Mitesh handed over money from the cash register and was then shot by the suspects who then fled on foot.

Tragically, Mitesh died at the scene.

Anyone with information about this murder is urged to call the San Bernardino Police Department at (909) 384-5615.

A funding site has been set up to help the family with expenses.

Two men have been arrested in connection with this crime but their names are not available as of this posting.

To the thieves who killed Mitesh Patel, we ask this question: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?
Pray for Mitesh and for
those who have lost him.

Mitesh was born in Gujurat, India. He came to the United States in 2002 in hopes of starting a better life for him and his family. He studied at Fullerton College and worked at various convenience stores and fast food chains to make ends meet. In 2010, he and his wife purchased the small store in San Bernardino.

Friends describe Mitesh as a good guy with a heart of gold. He was caring and had a sense of humor. He will be forever missed.

Mitesh's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was known for giving credit to customers at the store when they couldn't pay for food. He had a kind heart and a happy go lucky attitude. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Mitesh is survived by many loving friends and family members including his siblings, his wife, Bhavika; and his 3 year old daughter.

Pray for justice for Mitesh.

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Pray that Mitesh is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
