Ashley Guindon - Police Officer Fatality - Virginia

Officer Ashley Guindon, age 28, died in the line of duty on February 27, 2016, at a hospital in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Officer Guindon was a member of the Prince William County Police Department. She had served with the Department several years ago and had resigned and then returned. She currently had 2 days of service.

Before 6:00 p.m., a number of officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in Woodbridge. Woodbridge is located in Prince William County and is about 25 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.

Ronald Hamilton, age 32, allegedly murdered his wife, Crystal Hamilton, age 29, and opened fire on the attending officers as they approached his house. It is believed that his 11 year old son was in the house at the time of the murders.

Ashley and two other officers were wounded and flown to a hospital in Fairfax County. Tragically, Ashley succumbed to her wounds.

The two other officers were seriously wounded but will survive.

Ronald Hamilton was arrested at the scene and has been charged with two counts of murder. He is an Army Staff Sergeant assigned to the Pentagon.

Ashley had been sworn in the day before her death. She was working her first shift with her training officer.

Ashley's father was a New Hampshire Air National Guard who served in Iraq.

Tragically, he committed suicide in 2004.

Ashley grew up in New Hampshire. She graduated in 2010 from Embry-Riddle University in Daytona Beach, Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics. She also was in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve while she was a student at the university.

The Prince William County Police Department is in mourning over the death of their sister. Ashley was brave, intelligent and compassionate. She will be forever remembered.

Ashley's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. She did her best. She will be forever mourned.

Ashely is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members who will forever miss her.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray that Ashley is in Heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.

Pray for Crystal Hamilton. She was murdered by someone who once said he loved her.

Pray for the son of Crystal Hamilton. He has witnessed a terrible tragedy and has suffered an unspeakable loss.

God save us from the psychopaths. They are killing us, Father. Amen.
