Larry Millard - Firefighter - Wisconsin

Larry Millard
Firefighter Lawrence “Larry” W. Millard, age 56, died in the line of duty on December 11, 2015, at a hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Firefighter Millard was a volunteer member of the Endeavor-Moundville Fire Department. He had 34 years of service in volunteer firefighting.

Around 4:00 p.m., members of the Department arrived at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 39 in Marquette County. Larry was directing traffic around the scene. A driver did not see the firetruck on the highway and swerved to avoid it but struck Larry.

Larry was rushed to a hospital in Portage and then flown to a trauma center in Madison. Tragically, Larry died from his injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Florian, Patron Saint of
Firefighters, pray for Larry
