Eli McCarson - State Trooper Fatality - New Jersey

Eli McCarson
Trooper Eli McCarson, age 30, died in the line of duty on December 17, 2015, at a hospital in Salem, New Jersey.

Trooper McCarson was a member of the New Jersey State Police. He worked out of the Woodstown Station in Salem County. He had 10 months of service.

Before 11:00 a.m., Eli was responding to a domestic violence call and was traveling on a roadway in Salem County when he lost control of his patrol car and struck a utility pole. It was raining heavily at the time of the accident.

Eli was rushed to a local hospital where, tragically, he died of his injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Eli was a resident of Glassboro Township in Gloucester County. He had attended Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill and later attended Rutgers University at the Camden Campus. He graduated from the New Jersey State Police Academy in February of 2015. He had only recently gotten married.
Michael, Patron Saint of the
Police, pray for Eli and for
those who have lost him.

The New Jersey State Police are in mourning over the death of their brother. He was a professional and had a future as a State Trooper. He will be forever remembered.

Eli's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He was loving and was loved in return. He will be forever mourned.

Eli is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife, Jordan.

Thank you for your service to New Jersey, Eli.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Eli is in Heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
