Emilio Rios in California and Francesco Bove in New York City - victims of Pit Bull Dogs

Emilio Rios, age 65, died on September 8, 2015, at his home in Riverside County, California.

A 911 call was received just after 6:00 a.m. and Deputies arrived to find Emilio dead in his front yard. He had been bitten to death by Pit Bull dogs in the neighborhood.

A woman was also being attacked but sirens scared the dogs off.  The woman received only minor injuries.

The dogs were located at a nearby residence and were taken into custody.  The owner of these dogs has not been identified.

And then.....

Francesco Bove, age 62, was seriously mauled by two Pit Bull dogs on September 11,
Francesco Bove being attacked
by two pit bull dogs.
2015, on a street in the Bronx area of New York City.

Francesco was walking to a nearby Catholic church to inspect some marble work he had worked on there. Out of nowhere, two pit bull dogs attacked him. Emilio Ortiz, age 46, came to Francesco's aid and tried to get the dogs off of the man but he was knocked to the ground as well. Neighbors rushed to help both men, whipping the dogs and blasting them with water.

Francesco's ear, his arms, chest and legs were mauled. He was taken to a hospital and underwent surgery.  He will survive despite the attack.

The dogs were observed licking Francesco's blood off of the pavement.

Neighbors stated that these dogs had killed three other dogs earlier in the Summer. According to locals, these dogs run wild in the streets.

The owner of these dogs, Cynthia Oliver, age 55, has been charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

A pit bull dog who is not happy.
Pit Bulls were bred over 200 years ago for bull baiting, bear baiting and dog fighting. They were never intended to be family pets. They should never be around infants or young children under any circumstances.  They have repeatedly proven that they can kill people, both young and old, including people passing by. They have killed grown women walking in the hallways of their apartment buildings; they have killed 40 year old men jogging by on a country road; they have killed toddlers playing on the floor.

Many towns and cities, counties and states do not allow pit bulls and related breeds within their jurisdictions. Pitbulls are banned outright in many European countries, period.

Where are the authorities in Riverside County, California and in the Bronx, New York? Why do you allow Pit Bull dogs in your jurisdictions?

Pit Bulls and all related dog breeds should be bred out of existence sooner rather than later.

Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country.

The loved ones of Emilio Rios are devastated over his senseless and tragic death. He will be forever mourned.

Pray for the recovery of Francesco Bove.

God save us from those who think that the lives of dogs are more important than the lives of humans. Amen.
