Seven billion - the Population Bomb and the health of our Planet

The United Nations released a report on July 29, 2015, entitled "World Population Prospects: The 2015 Revision".

The news is not good.

Starving children in Africa
According to this report:

The World population in June of 2015 is 7.3 billion or 7,300 million souls.
In 2030, the World's population is estimated to be 8.5 billion or 8,500 million souls.
In 2050, the World's population is estimated to be 9.7 billion or 9,700 million souls.
In 2100, the World's population is estimated to be 11.2 billion or 11,200 million souls.

At the time of Christ, the world's population may have been 300 million.

Our planet cannot sustain this many people. We are having a difficult time now providing food and clean water to many of the inhabitants of our Earth.

Currently, about 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes. People starve because - guess what? - there is nothing for them to eat.

It is time for some adult talk about serious birth control not only among Catholic Christians but also among Protestant Christians, members of the Jewish faith, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists.

It is time to wake up, get with the program and save our Planet from the destruction that seems inevitable with over-population.

Every sexual act should not have the potential to result in a live birth.

God grant us the wisdom to save our planet from ourselves. Amen.
