Lamar was off duty and was riding his motorcycle on Sunday afternoon. A Toyota Corolla turned left in front of Lamar's motorcycle, causing him to crash into the side of the Toyota. Lamar was thrown from the bike. He suffered fatal injuries to his head.

for Lamar and for those who have lost him.
vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Louis Vogwill is innocent unless proven guilty.

However we offer this advice to all drivers: If you find that you are wasted, drunk or doped up on street drugs or prescription drugs or if you are falling asleep on your feet, do NOT drive. Call a family member or a friend for a ride; or take a taxi or a bus; or stay where you are until you sober up; or crawl home on your hands and knees. It will be better for you and for the world if you do.

Regret can last a lifetime.

The Philadelphia Police Department is in mourning over the death of their brother. He will be forever remembered.

Lamar's loved ones are devastated over his senseless and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Lamar is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his wife and seven children.

Thank you for your service to the community, Lamar.

God save us from those who strike us down on the street and then run away like wolves. Amen.

God save us from the drunk drivers and the doped up drivers. They are killing us, Father. Amen.
