Three children and two men were driving from Illinois to Tarpon Springs, Florida. Mike Osborne and his friend Michael Furlow, were driving Mike's grandson, Kaybrin, and the boy’s two half-siblings from Illinois to Florida to see the children’s mother. She had moved to Florida to start a new life.
About 5:30 a.m., it is alleged that a drunk driver crashed into their vehicle head on, with his lights off, in the wrong lane, tragically killing:
Kaybrin Osborne, age 8
Halle Young, age 7,
Michael Furlow, age 49
Another child, Clayton, age 3, and Mike Osborne, were seriously injured in the collision,
A fundraising site has been set up to help with expenses.
Jorge Solis, age 20, of Ellenwood, Georgia, the alleged impaired driver, was arrested at the scene. He was already on probation for driving under the influence. He has been charged with vehicular homicide. He was driving on the wrong side of the road and he had open booze in his vehicle.
Family members said that Kaybrin was a Boy Scout, played football and baseball and liked rock music. He was a little spit fire who was always smiling and brought a lot of joy to everybody. He was a good little kid, full of life.
Halle was a sweet little girl. She was loving and was loved in return.

Jorge Solis is innocent unless proven guilty.
However we offer this advice to all drivers: If you find that you are wasted, drunk or doped up on street drugs or prescription drugs or if you are falling asleep on your feet, do NOT drive. Call a family member or a friend for a ride; or take a taxi; or stay where you are until you sober up; or crawl home on your hands and knees. It will be better for you and for the world if you do.
Regret can last a lifetime.
The family members of Kaybrin, Halle and Michael are devastated over their sudden and tragic deaths. Oceans of tears will be shed for them. They will be forever mourned.
Kaybrin and Halle are survived by many loving friends and family members including their mother, Kimberly.
Pray for justice for Kaybrin, Halle and Michael.
Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.
Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.
God save us from the drunk and the doped up drivers. They are killing us, Father. Amen.
