Hilary Acton - killed by thieves in Indianapolis, Indiana

Hilary Acton, age 33, died on June 1, 2015, on a street in in the Near Southside district of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Just before 1:00 a.m., Hilary and her boyfriend, Mark Williams, were returning from getting ice cream cones and were unloading clothes they had gotten from the Goodwill. They were approached by two males who demanded that they hand over their possessions. Mark Williams said he tried to chase them away, but they fired shots, hitting Hilary several times.

He stated that the shooter was scared when he shot Hilary. The two males ran and turned around and started shooting again. Mark Williams was uninjured.

The Police have stated that this appears to be a random act of violence and that the victim and the shooters did not know each other.

Hilary had attended Oklahoma State University and had worked as a lab assistant. She attended the Plainfield Christian Church.

Mark Williams stated that he and Hilary had been together for about a year and that she was the love of his life.  He describes her as a loving and caring person. She loved her two sons. She was trying to get her life together.

We put this question to the thieves who killed Hilary: What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?

Hilary's loved ones are devastated over her sudden and tragic death. She will be forever mourned.

Hilary is survived by many loving friends and family members including her parents, Roger and Debra Acton, her brother, Todd Acton, and her sons, Cayden and Skyler Power. 

She is also survived by her boyfriend, Mark Williams. 

Pray for justice for Hilary. 

God save us from the thieves. They are killing us, Father. Amen.
