Paul Koropal - Law Enforcement - Pennsylvania

Paul Koropal
Detective Paul Koropal, age 47, died in the line of duty on May 6, 2015, at a hospital in Uniontown, Pennyslvania.

Detective Koropal was a member of the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. Paul served in the Investigative Division. He spent 16 years with the State's Auto Theft Task Force. He had 18 years of service.

During the afternoon of May 5, 2015, Paul and other members of a Federal narcotics task force were serving warrants in Fayette County.

At one point he told his partner that he wasn't feeling well. He was taken to a hospital in Uniontown where he suffered a fatal heart attack and tragically passed away in the Emergency Room.

Paul was known to his comrades as "PJ".

The Allegheny County District Attorney's Office is in mourning over the death of their brother. He is described as a loving husband and father and a loyal and dedicated member of the District Attorney's Office. Paul will be forever remembered.

Paul's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Paul is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members including his mother, Rita Koropal; three sisters - Kim, Sandra and Lisa; his wife, Kelly; his daughter, Sarah and his son, Paul Jr.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die suddenly.  They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that Paul is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
