Kalee Scolatti and Anthony Dupras - victims of Domestic Murder in Missoula, Montana

Kalee Scolatti, age 34, and Anthony Dupras, age 46, died on May 6, 2015, at a house in Missoula, Montana.

They were murdered by Nicholas Scolatti, age 36, who then shot himself in the head and subsequently died in a local hospital two days later. 

This was a domestic murder case. Nicholas and Kalee Scolatti were in the process of divorcing.  They were married in 1999. Nick had moved out of the house. 

Kalee was at her home during the evening of May 6th with Nicholas. They were arguing.  Kalee called Anthony Dupras to come over to help her.  He did.  Nicholas Scolatti then shot both Kalee and Anthony and then himself.  

Kalee was the news director of a Missoula TV station. She had worked there for 10 years.

Anthony Dupras was known as "TJ" to his family and friends. He was a family friend of Kalee and had known her since she was 11 years old.  Kalee considered TJ to be her big brother although they were not related. 

Kalee was a graduate of the University of Montana where she studied journalism. 

Friends describe Kalee as having a contagious laugh.  She was kind, intelligent, passionate, enthusiastic and respectful. She had a sense of humor and her smile would light up a room. She was a motivator to many of her younger co-workers.

Friends describe TJ as a loving father and talented musician.  He was uptempo and helpful to others.

Advice to anyone undergoing divorce or marriage breakdown: If you are experiencing a relationship breakdown and feel that you are getting out of control because of it:

~ Speak to a friend or a family member who you know is calm and who will not exacerbate the situation.
~ Speak to a priest, a pastor or someone you trust.
~ Go to the local hospital's emergency room and say that you are losing it and that you need help. You may need psychological counselling. You may need strong prescription drugs to calm you down.
~ Turn yourself in to the local Police, saying that you feel violently out of control and that you don't trust your own actions. They won't detain you but they may refer you to medical resources who can help you.
~ Do anything you can to prevent yourself from murdering the person you once loved.

Kalee's loved ones are devastated over her senseless and tragic death. She was a

Kalee is survived by many loving friends and family members including her parents, her brother and her three children. She will be forever mourned. 

Anthony Dupras is survived by many loving friends and family members including his two sons who will forever mourn him.

God save us from those who once said they loved us and then kill us. Amen.
