Amber Caudel - bullied to death in Washington State

Amber Caudel, age 12, died on May 7, 2015, at her home in Everett, Washington.
Amber Caudel

Amber hung herself.

Amber's father, Scott Caudel, states that relentless bullying was the cause of his daughter's suicide. She was picked on at school and on the Internet.

She wanted to be popular but was called a slut and a whore by some of the students at Evergreen Middle School. Somebody spit on her at school. She wasn't doing well academically and was going to have to repeat Grade 7 and perhaps quit cheerleading.

On May 11, 2015, many students marched out of Evergreen Middle School to show support for Amber and to take a stand against bullying.

The circumstances of Amber's death are under investigation by the Everett Police Department.

Scott Caudel states that he reported the ongoing bullying to the school on two
