Tiffany and Bryan (L); Joel Norman (R) |
Tiffany and Bryan had attended a late night movie in Providence and were on their way home. At about 1:30 a.m., they were struck by vehicle which plowed into them. They were wearing their seatbelts.
Tragically, Tiffany died at the scene of the collision and Bryan was rushed to a nearby hospital where he too succumbed to his injuries.
The young couple had a young daughter, Jaylene Rodriguez, and planned on getting married in the near future.
Joel Norman, age 24, was arrested and charged with being under the influence of alcohol or drugs which resulted in death. He drove on the highway in the wrong direction, against traffic, for over a mile, just before he struck Tiffany and Bryan's vehicle. He refused a breathalyzer test.
Tiffany worked as a salesperson at a furniture store in Allteboro. Bryan worked as a manager at a restaurant in Cranston.
Friends describe the young couple as generous and positive. They had met at the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center. They were high school sweethearts. They were just starting out on a new path in life.
Tiffany had a really big heart. Bryan was a great father to his daughter.
A funding site has been established to help with expenses and for their daughter.
