Paul Miltenberger - a victim of hit and run in Dallas, Texas

Paul Miltenberger
Paul Miltenberger, age 20, died on April 5, 2015, on a roadway in the northeastern part of Dallas, Texas.

Paul had been out partying with friends on Saturday night, April 4. He had returned to Dallas from Missouri for the Easter break.  At about 2:30 a.m., Paul and others were walking along Mockingbird Lane and decided to cross the street but not at a crosswalk. As he crossed the roadway, Paul was struck by a black Dodge Charger. The driver fled the scene of the collision. He did not stop to offer aid to Paul.

Tragically, Paul died at the scene.

If you have any information about this incident, you are urged to call  1-877-373-TIPS (8477).

A reminder to all Drivers: The Pedestrian always has the right of way. It doesn't matter if they are 100 years old and are hobbling down the street on a walker in the pitch dark or are 7 years old and are playing ball on the street right in the middle of your path. They still have the right of way. Wake up and respect those on the street. They are on foot. You are the one in the 4,000 pound death machine. Think about it.

Regret can last a lifetime.

Paul was from Southlake, Texas, and graduated from Southlake Carroll High School
Father, place Paul on the stairway to
Heaven.
in 2013.  He was very much into soccer in high school.

Paul was currently a sophomore at the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri. He was studying marketing. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

Paul's friends are in mourning over the death of their young brother. He will be forever remembered.

Paul's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He was a wonderful young man who treated everyone with kindness, generosity, love and respect. He made people smile. He will be forever mourned.

Paul is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever miss him.

Pray for justice for Paul.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from those who strike us down on the road and then run away like wolves. Amen.

Pray that Paul is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
