Darryl Wallace - Law Enforcement - Georgia

Police Officer Darryl Wallace, age 26, died in the line of duty on March 15, 2015, in Jonesboro, Georgia.

Officer Wallace was a member of the Clayton County Police Department.  He had 5 months of service. He was assigned to Sector III on the evening shift. 

Clayton County is included in the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical area. 

At about 8:30 p.m., Darryl was responding to a call about a prowler.  On the way to the call, he swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed his patrol car. 

He was rushed to a local hospital where tragically he passed away from his injuries.

Darryl had graduated from the Clayton County Police Academy in November of 2014.

The Clayton County Police Department is in mourning over the death of their young brother. They describe him as an exemplary officer. He was dedicated to his community and to his fellow officers. He had a bright future in law enforcement. He loved his job and was pleasant to others. Everyone liked working with him. He will be forever remembered.

Darryl's loved ones are devastated over his sudden and tragic death. He did his best. He will be forever mourned.

Darryl is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members.

Thank you for your service, Darryl.

Pray for all who die suddenly. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray for all who die young. They barely had a chance to live.

Pray that Darryl is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
