Shae Smith - An 18 year old killed by an Impaired Driver in Red Bluff, California

Shea Smith
Shae Smith, age 18, died on September 30, 2014, on a street in Red Bluff, California.

Red Bluff is a city in northern California with a population of just under 15,000.

At about 10:30 a.m., Shae and her boyfriend, Travis Burke, age 20, were standing on a sidewalk on a city street in Red Bluff.

Elizabeth Lang, age 36, was driving by and swerved off the road and onto the sidewalk. Shae Smith was killed at the scene and Travis Burke was severely injured.

Elizabeth Lang is facing many charges including vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired.

Shae's family are devastated by her sudden and tragic death. She is remembered as compassionate. She was beautiful inside and out.  She was always the first to hug you and reach out to you. She will be forever mourned.

Shae was on her way to Chico to live with her father when the accident happened.
Angels of God, pray for Shae
and for those who have
lost her

The Smith family has set up a GoFundMe account that can be found here to help cover Shae's funeral expenses and other related costs.  The family is not well off and need financial help right now.

To All Drivers: If you find that you are drunk or doped up on street drugs or prescription drugs or if you are falling asleep on your feet, do NOT drive. Call a family member or a friend for a ride; or take a taxi; or stay where you are until you sober up; or crawl home on your hands and knees. It will be better for you and for the world if you do.

Regret can last a lifetime.

Shae is survived by many loving friends and relatives including her mother, Ruby Smith; her father; and her boyfriend, Travis Burke.

Pray for all who die as a teenagers.  They barely had a chance to live.

God save us from the drunk and the doped up drivers. They are killing us, Father.

Pray for justice for Shae.

Pray for the recovery of Travis who was also severely injured by this accident.

Pray that Shae is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
