David Kedra - State Trooper - Pennsylvania

Trooper David Kedra, age 26, died in the line of duty on September 30, 2014, at a hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Trooper Kedra was a member of the Pennsylvania State Police. He had over 2 years of service.

David was attending a training exercise at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Complex near Philadelphia

Just before 5:00 p.m., during firearms training, a live round was accidentally discharged by an instructor and struck David in the chest. He was flown to a hospital in Philadelphia where tragically he succumbed to his injuries.

This tragic accident is under investigation.  

It may be time to re-examine and re-evaluate training protocols at this facility.

The Pennsylvania State Police are in mourning over the tragic death of their young brother. He was a valued and respected officer. He will be forever remembered.

David's loved ones are devastated over his tragic death. Oceans of tears will be shed for this man. He will be forever mourned.

David is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members.

Thank you for your service to Pennsylvania, David.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and are gone before we can say goodbye.

Pray that David is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
