Marcceaus Marc - a Good Samaritan killed in Orange County, Florida

Marcceaus Marc, age 46, of Maitland, Florida, died on May 3, 2014, as a result of an accident on Interstate 4, near the Central Florida Parkway.

He was taking his wife to work when they came upon an SUV that had flipped over. Marcceaus and a female driver, Maleah Meyers, age 26, of Haines City, who had also stopped to help, walked over to the SUV to try to help a trapped woman get out of her vehicle. 

Suddenly Carlos Torres, age 42, lost control of his vehicle and slammed into Marcceaus Marc and Maleah Meyers. Marcceaus was killed at the scene and Maleah was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

It is unknown at the time of this posting if Carlos Torres will face charges.  It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in this tragedy.

Marcceaus was originally from Haiti. He was an auto mechanic.  His family and friends

The Good Samaritans come to
the aid of strangers, selflessly. 

called him "Mr. Fix-It" because of his abilities to fix and repair cars. 

Family members are devastated by his sudden and tragic death.  He will be forever mourned. 

Whenever he came across someone in distress with their vehicle, he always stepped up to help. 

Family members stated that he loved his family and did his best for them. He worked several jobs in order to earn the money his family needed.  He had a generous heart. He wanted his kids to succeed. 

Marcceaus is survived by many loving friends and family members including his wife and seven daughters.

Pray for all who die by misadventure.  They are with us one moment and gone the next. 

Pray for all who die while coming to the aid of strangers.  They are the Good Samaritans and are the true heroes of our world.

Pray that Marcceaus is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
