Racquelle Tssessaze - a 10 year old girl killed by dogs in Northern Manitoba, Canada

Racquelle Tssessaze
Racquelle Tssessaze, a 10 year old girl, died on April 15, 2014, in a wooded area of Lac Brochet, Manitoba.

Lac Brochet is a First Nation community in the boreal forest of northern Manitoba, Canada. The village has a population of 816.

Racquelle was walking to a taekwondo class after school with two other girls when she was attacked by two dogs which were running loose. The two girls ran back to school to get help.  A man raced to the scene on his snowmobile.

Racquelle was rushed to the local nursing station but she died on the way there.

The breed of the dogs involved in the attack is unknown.  The dogs were killed.

Family members describe Racquelle as a sweet little girl.  She was kind and always had a smile on her face.

This is the second fatal dog attack on a child in Manitoba in a month.  On March 16,
Light a candle for Racquelle.
Light her way to Heaven.
2014, Gracie Clark, age 7, of St. Andrew's, Manitoba, was mauled to death by two Alaskan malamute dogs. Those dogs, owned by a friend of the family, were later euthanized.

It is time that the towns and cities in Manitoba wake up and institute greater control over dogs in their jurisdictions.  Are you going to have a Manitoba kid bitten to death every month?

Strict leash and confinement laws for all dogs have to be enacted and rigidly enforced everywhere in this Province. Dogs running wild and in packs is not acceptable in the 21st century.

Death by dog is not acceptable in a civilized country.

Racquelle is survived by many loving friends and family members who will forever mourn her.

We know that Racquelle is playing in the fields of Heaven.
