Robert Baron - Law Enforcement - New Mexico

Sergeant Robert Baron, age 47, died in the line of duty on December 6, 2013, at a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Rob was a member of the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office. He had 8 years of service.

On December 5, 2013, Sergeant Baron was directing traffic around a road accident during a period of blizzard-like conditions when a vehicle lost control and struck him.

He was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital where he remained in a coma until passing away.

is also a law enforcement officer.

Police officials stated that Robert died doing the job that he loved, in service to his community. The Sheriff's Office is in mourning over the death of their comrade.

Friends describe Rob as a true role model to everyone who came into contact with him. He was full of life and loved his family and his Law Enforcement family. He was a great teacher, mentor and co-worker.

He is also described as having a respectful and pleasant demeanor.

Rob is survived by many loving comrades, friends and family members, including his wife Krysia, and Colter, his 10 year old son.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Pray that Rob is in heaven. Pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
