Babarism Alert - Pakistani Police and Aid worker killed for giving polio vaccines to kids

On December 13, 2013, three honorable men died in Pakistan.

They died because they participated in the giving of polio vaccine shots to kids in Pakistan.

Pakistan is one of only three countries where polio is still a major problem. It is classified there as an "endemic viral infection". Polio infections in Pakistan rose by 37 percent in 2011. That is an alarming rate.

The Taliban in Pakistan, of course, have come to the belief that vaccines against polio are a plot by the Western governments to sterilize or kill off the population.

And so...the Taliban does what it does best..... which is to kill people.

On December 13, 2013, they killed two cops who were on their way to escort a polio vaccination medical group. The police officers were riding a motorbike when they were attacked by 4 gunmen also on motorbikes. Both police officers were shot in the head.

Police Officer Ijaz Ali, from Bachayi village, was killed on the spot.

hospital. The gunmen escaped. 

In a separate incident on December 13, 2013, another man involved in the polio vaccine controversy was also murdered in Pakistan. His name is Yousaf. Further details are not available as of this posting.

The Pakistani Taliban mow down Polio workers like grass. Can these morons actually believe that vaccines (of whatever nature) are a Western plot to sterilize or kill them?

God save us from this stupidity.  

These three men stood up for modernity and for justice and for the health of the children of Pakistan.

Ijaz, Iftikhar and Yousaf are survived by many loving friends and relatives who will forever miss them.

Pray for these men who died in the performance of their duties. They are the true heroes of Pakistan.

Pray that Ijaz, Iftikhar and Yousaf are in heaven. Pray that they are at peace and are with God. Amen.
