Carissa Hinz - Hit and Run Victim in Chicago

Carissa
Carissa Hinz, age 21, died on June 14, 2013, in the Bridgeport neighbourhood of Chicago, Illinois.

It was close to midnight and Carissa was crossing the street near the Co-Prosperity Sphere Arts Center. She was volunteering at an event there and was dragging out a bag of trash across the street.

She was struck by a car. The driver of this vehicle went straight through a stop sign and plowed into Carissa.

The impact sent Carissa over one parked car and through the rear window of another car where she landed in the back seat. The driver of the car that struck her never stopped.

The driver was going like a bat out of hell. Speeding like a sonovabitch.

Anyone with information about this crime should call Chicago Police at 312-745-4521.

Carissa was interested in art. That is why she was volunteering at the Arts Center at midnight. She had graduated in May of 2013 from the American Academy of Art, where she studied graphic design. She was trying to figure out what to do next in the art world.

In the daytime, she worked as a barista at the Bridgeport Coffee Company.

Co-workers describe her as a wonderful person with an artistic soul and a generous heart.

Friends describe her as upbeat and helpful.

Carissa is survived by many loving friends and relatives.

Saint Elizabeth Fyodorovna
pray for Carissa

Pray for justice for Carissa. Pray that the person who ran her down is apprehended. Amen.

God save us from the freaks who drive cars at 60 mph through an intersection or down a City street and mow down everyone in their path. These assholes are drunk and doped up and are on a party.
They have no regard for human life. Amen.

Pray for the women who die at age 21.  Yesterday, they were just girls. Amen.

Pray that Carissa is in heaven. Pray that she is at peace and is with God. Amen.
