Kyle Stocking, age 22, died on March 24, 2013, at the Corona Arch in Moab, Utah.

The Corona Arch is a 140 foot high rock formation that people make attempts to rope-swing from.

Kyle was attempting to swing from this arch when he struck the ground and was killed. It is believed that the length of rope needed to clear the ground was miscalculated. He had gone to the Arch with five friends.

Kyle was a former Marine. He was currently a student studying mechanical engineering.

Family members stated that Kyle had a lively spirit, that he loved the outdoors and loved rock climbing.

He is also described as adventurous, spontaneous and selfless.

Kyle's parents are deeply grieving. He will be forever missed.

They ask that anyone contemplating a life threatening stunt to think of their families
Angels of God, pray for Kyle
first.

Kyle is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Mike and Linda Stocking; his sister, Brittney; and his brothers Derek and Tyler.

Thank you for serving your country, Kyle.

Pray for all who die by misadventure. They are with us one moment and gone the next. Amen.

Let us pray that Kyle is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
