Joseph Richardson

Spc. Joseph A. Richardson, age 23, of Booneville, Arkansas, died on November 16, 2012, in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Gabriel, Archangel, pray for Joseph

Joseph arrived at his Fort Riley unit in October of 2008. He had previously served one tour of duty in Iraq. This was his first deployment to Afghanistan. 

Joseph is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, his father and his wife.
