Riley Stephens

Sgt. 1st Class Riley G. Stephens, age 39, of Tolar, Texas, died on September 28, 2012, in Wardak, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Riley was a Special Forces Medical Sergeant. 

This was his fifth deployment during Operation Enduring Freedom.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, the Army Achievement Medal with Valor Device, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and many more.

Riley is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father; his wife and his three children. 

Let us pray that Riley Stephens is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
