Andrew Fox - Law Enforcement - Virginia

Trooper Andrew Fox, age 27, died in the line of duty on October 5, 2012, in Hanover County, Virginia.

Andrew was a member of the Virginia State Police. He had 5 years of service. 

He was wearing a reflective vest while directing traffic after 9:00 p.m., that was leaving the Virginia State Fair and Kings Dominion theme park when he was struck by an SUV. He was transported to VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia, where he succumbed to his injuries.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the SUV but an investigation is continuing as of the date of this posting.

Andrew was a graduate of Virginia Tech. He had served on the town of Tazewell Police Force.
Trooper Fox graduated February 2007 from the Virginia State Police Academy as a member of the 111th Basic Session. Upon graduation from the Academy, Trooper Fox was first assigned to the Fairfax Division's Area 48 Office in Springfield.

Police Officials stated that Andrew was highly regarded and his death is a tremendous loss for the Department.

Andrew is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, his sister, his step-brother; and his wife, Virginia. 

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Pray for all who die young and suddenly. They are with us one moment and gone the next. 

Let us pray that Andrew Fox is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
