Shane Cantu

Pfc. Shane W. Cantu, age 20, of Corunna, Michigan, died on August 28, 2012, in Charkh, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he was hit by shrapnel. 

Shane was assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy.

Shane graduated from Corunna High School in 2010 where he played football.  

He attended the Owosso Nazarene Church.

Family members describe Shane as fun-loving, humorous and family oriented.

Shane is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father, Michael Clarke; his mother Jennifer (Cantu) Clarke; his sisters Shiann, Shanel, Jordyn, BreAnn and Haley; and his loved one, Ciara Agnew.

Pray for the 20 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys. 

Let us pray that Shane Cantu is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
