Remington Barron - Law Enforcement - Utah

Police Officer Remington Barron, age 28, of Spanish Fork, Utah, died on September 21, 2012, on a highway near Springville, Utah. 

Remington was a member of the Sandy Police Department. He worked as a patrol division officer. He had two years of service with the Department. 

Remington was off duty and was returning home on his motorcycle when he entered an overnight construction zone where men were working. He crashed into a freeway construction vehicle at about 2:00 a.m.. The construction vehicle, a pick-up truck allegedly pulled out in front of him. The driver of the pickup did not see the motorcycle approaching.

Remington was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. He was taken to a local hospital with head trauma. He passed away at about 8:00 a.m. 

Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in this fatal collision.

Police officials stated that Remington loved doing police work. He was enthusiastic and energetic. He was a valued member of the Department and he will be missed by his police comrades.

Remington is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and their two children. 

Pray for all who die young and suddenly.  They are here one moment and gone to the Father, the next.
