Jason Swindle

Sgt. Jason M. Swindle, age 24, of Cabot, Arkansas, died on September 20, 2012, in Panjwa’l, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when he encountered enemy, small arms fire. 

Jason was assigned to 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. 

He graduated from Cabot High School in 2006 and went straight to the Army with his older brother, Sam.

Jason served two tours of duty in Iraq and was on his third tour in Afghanistan. 

Friends stated that he was a good soldier, leader and a man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Others stated that he always made the best of every situation and always made people smile.

Family members said they are proud of Jason and of his service. They said that he was fearless.

Jason was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Jason is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his brothers Sam and John; his wife Chelsey and their 1 year old son, Paxton. Chelsey is pregnant with their second son. 

Let us pray that Jason Swindle is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
