Joshua Williams - Law Enforcement - Texas

Police Officer Joshua Williams, age 44, died in the line of duty on July 28, 2012, in Waxahachie, Texas.

He was a member of the Waxahachie Police Department.  He had 17 years of service.

Josh was responding to a disturbance call at a fast food restaurant in the 600 block of Highway 77. He was turning into the parking lot when his patrol car was struck on the passenger side by an SUV.

Josh was transported to a local hospital where he died.

The driver, a suspected DUI, was taken into custody. This driver was speeding, driving without headlights on and going in the wrong direction. What was our first clue that this dude was drunk?

Light a candle for Josh Williams.
Light his way to Heaven.
Police officials describe Josh as a good officer who was friendly and well respected by his comrades. It was also stated that he was a great guy and a great officer whose death is a tremendous loss for the Waxahachie Police Department.

Josh is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and three children.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

God save us from the drunk and doped up drivers.  They are killing us, Father. Amen.

Let us pray that Joshua Williams is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
