Darrion Hicks

Spc. Darrion T. Hicks, age 21, of Raleigh, North Carolina, died on July 19, 2012, in Ghazni, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained from an enemy improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Bamberg, Germany.

Darrion graduated from Broughton High School in 2009. He joined the Army immediately after graduation.

Angels of God, pray for Darrion

High school officials in the ROTC program describe Darrion as a hard worker, who was voted Mr. Junior ROTC. 

Darrion is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his mother and younger brother.

Pray for the 21 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys. 

Let us pray that Darrion Hicks is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
