Bruce MacFarlane

Capt. Bruce A. MacFarlane, 46, of Oviedo, Florida, died July 6, in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Bruce was assigned to the 1186th Transportation Company, 831st Transportation Battalion, Jacksonville, Florida.

The cause of his death was not released at the time of this posting.

He attended the University of Central Florida from 1989 to 1991. Bruce had 24 years of service with the Military. He enlisted in the Army in 1988 and was commissioned as an officer in 1991 after going through an ROTC program.

Light a candle for Bruce.
Light his way to Heaven.
He was released from active duty in 2000 but was mobilized for deployment to Afghanistan in April of 2012.

Friends describe him as a great guy, patriotic and a family man. He is also described as fit and youthful.

Before his recent deployment, he ran a swimming pool business.

Bruce is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, Kristina; and their son, Conner and their daughter, Chloe.

Let us pray that Bruce MacFarlane is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
