Brian Lorenzo - Law Enforcement - Pennsylvania

Police Officer Brian Lorenzo, age 48, died on July 8, 2012, in Pennsylvania.

Brian was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department. He had 23 years of service.

He had just clocked out and was heading home after his shift. He was killed when his department motorcycle was struck head-on by a drunk driver on I-95 at approximately 3:15 am. The drunk driver was driving the wrong way on the interstate at the time. The driver was arrested at the scene.

Brian was born in the Bronx, N.Y. and moved to Philadelphia with his family in his elementary school years. He graduated from Frankford High School and married his high school sweetheart, Linda.
Michael, Archangel,
Patron Saint of the Police,
pray for Brian

Brian served with the 25th Police District for eight years. For the last 15 years, he had been a highly decorated member of the department's Highway Patrol. Brian had often trained new recruits on how to drive their highway wheels.

Local officials stated that Brian gave his heart and soul to his job, that he was a professional and that he will be greatly missed. He had earned five commendations of merit for superior police work.

Friends describe him as soft-spoken, patient and committed to his job.

Brian is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his brother, Manuel, who is also a Police Officer; and his wife, Linda, and 3 children.

Pray for all who die as a result of the performance of their duties.

Let us pray that Brian Lorenzo is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
