Adam Ross

Pfc. Adam C. Ross, age 19, of Lyman, South Carolina, died on July 24, 2012, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he encountered small arms fire.

Adam was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy.

Adam graduated from James F. Byrnes High School, at the end of 2010. He enlisted on April 4, 2011.

He had been in Afghanistan for less than 3 weeks when he was killed.

Friends said that he was a great kid who will be greatly missed.

Jesus, pray for Adam
Family members said that Adam wanted to be in the military since he was a child. They also stated that he was very family-oriented, well liked and laid back. They also stated that he was a man of faith.

Baptist Church officials stated that Adam was well-mannered, good spirited and just an all around good American boy.

Adam is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents, Amanda and Staff Sgt. Dudley Ross; his brother Army Pfc. Jonathan Ross; and his girlfriend, Rachel Lowery.

Pray for the 19 year olds who die in combat. Yesterday, they were just boys.

Let us pray that Adam Ross is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
