Charles Wilson - Firefighter - Virginia

Firefighter Charles Dwain Wilson, age 21, of Bumpass, Virginia, died on June 28, 2012, in Louisa County, Virginia.

Charles was a member of the Louisa County Fire Department. He was known as Charlie to many of his friends.

He was driving a pickup truck on the way to work, when he ran off of the side of the road and struck a tree. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Saint Florian, Patron
Saint of Firefighters,
pray for Charlie.
Pray that he is in Heaven.

Charles started as a part-time firefighter with the county in 2009 and became full-time in August of 2010.

When he was an Eagle Scout, he received a youth volunteer of the year recognition in 2008. He also received the Above and Beyond recognition from the Richmond Ambulance Authority.

Fire Department officials describe Charlie as a gentle giant who always wore a smile. He is also described as kind, professional and a team player.

Pray for the 21 years old who die tragically. Yesterday, they were just boys.

Let us pray that Charles Wilson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
