Wade Wilson

Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, age 22, of Leona, Texas, died on May 11, 2012, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. 

He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. He was an anti-tank missileman. 

Wade was a 2007 graduate of Centreville High School, in Centreville, Texas. He joined the Marine Corps in June of 2007. This was his second deployment to Afghanistan.

Growing up, he played football, ran track and showed cattle at the county livestock show. 
 
Family members have stated "Wade will be missed by so many and will always remain close to our hearts. We are forever indebted to Wade and all of our men and women in uniform for the service they do to keep our country and families protected."

Wade is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Cindy Easterling; stepfather Ward Easterling; father Mitchell Boyd "Rusty" Wilson; stepmother, Tammy Wilson; three brothers - Chad, Alex and Curtis; and sister, Layne. 

Let us pray that Wade Wilson is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
