Michael Maguire

British Ranger Michael Maguire, age 21, died on May 2, 2012, in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

He was a member of the 1st Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment. 

He was shot by a stray bullet during a live firing exercise at the Castlemartin Range and died at the scene.

He was from Coomhola, Bantry, in Ireland. He went to school at St. Goban’s College near Bantry.

He joined the Army in May of 2010 and was deployed to Afghanistan in September of 2010. 

Military officials describe Michael as one of their best men, professional, cheerful, popular and humorous. 
Light a candle for Michael.
Light his way to Heaven.

Friends describe him as a gentleman and witty. 

Michael was known as "High Tower" to his friends because he was 6 feet, 7 inches tall. 

Michael is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his father Michael Maguire Sr. and his mother, Maureen Maguire.

Let us pray that Michael Maguire is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
