Arronn Fields

Spc. Arronn D. Fields, age 27, of Terre Haute, Indiana, died on May 21, 2012, in Qal-ah-ye Mirza Jal, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with rocket propelled grenades.

He was assigned to the 81st Troop Command, Indiana National Guard, Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Arronn Fields was a graduate of Northview High School in Brazil, Indiana. He also attended Ivy Technical College. He enlisted in the National Guard in 2006 and deployed to Afghanistan in early 2012. He had previously served a one year tour of duty in Iraq in 2010.

Family members stated that he always wanted to be a soldier and to make the military his career. It was also stated that he was a soft-spoken man who loved fishing and hunting and working on cars. They describe Arronn as their hero. 

Friends stated that he was patriotic and a man of faith. 

Arronn is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his mother, Jackie Pilkin; stepfather, Bill Pilkin; and two siblings. 

Let us pray that Arronn Fields is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
