Christopher Brown

Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Brown, age 26, of Columbus, Ohio, died on April 3, 2012, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained after he was attacked with an improvised explosive device while on a dismounted patrol.

Christopher was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Christopher graduated from Hamilton Township High School.
Jesus, pray for
Christopher and for
his children who have
lost their father

Christopher was on his third deployment. His first was from Aug. 2004 to July 2005 in Iraq, and the second was from June 2009 to May 2010 to Afghanistan.

He was awarded, posthumously, a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal.

Friends stated that Christopher had a lot of personality and was a jokester. In high school he was known for bursting out in song or doing a dance.

Christopher is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his parents and 3 sisters; his wife, Ariell; and his 2 daughters, Charlie (age 8) and Dilyn (age 6). Ariell is expecting their third child.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Christopher Brown is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen.
