Preston Ross Jr. - Law Enforcement - Illinois

Police Officer, Preston Ross Jr., age 48, died on February 25, 2012, in the line of duty, in Chicago.

Preston was a member of the Chicago Police Department. He had 25 years of service.

He was working in the River West area outside downtown Chicago, when he experienced difficulty breathing and collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Angels of God, pray
for Preston
Preston is described as a role model for young men on the South Side — taking them to sports events, giving them work so they would stay off the streets and keeping in contact with them so that they did not fall behind and lose sight of their dreams.

Friends describe him as giving and caring and state that he was well respected by many.

He won 17 awards during his years of service.

Preston is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his son.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty.

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Preston Ross Jr. is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
