Don Williams - Law Enforcement - Alabama

Reserve Deputy Don Williams, age 55, died on February 8, 2012, in Ozark, Alabama.

Don was a member of the Dale County Sheriff's Office. He had 17 years of service.

Don died after being involved in a single vehicle accident in Ozark, Alabama. He had just completed serving civil papers when his patrol car left the roadway and struck several parked cars. It is believed that he may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident.

Police officials describe Don as a hardworking deputy who will be greatly missed. They also stated that he was energetic and had pride in the sheriff's department, and never complained.

Family members stated that he was was well-loved by his family and his community and was an all-around nice guy. 

Don is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife and six children.

Pray for all who die in the line of duty. 

Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Don Williams is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
