He was a member of the Detroit Police Department and had 16 years of service.
Almondo died due to severe medical distress. He was rushed to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he passed away a short time later.

Family members stated that Almondo cared about Detroit and cared about his job.
Almondo is survived by many loving friends and relatives including his wife, who is also a police officer; and his three children.
Pray for all who die while on duty.
Let us pray to God the Father, Jesus, all of the saints and all of the angels that Almondo Greer-Travis is in heaven. Let us pray that he is at peace and is with God. Amen
